Kennett High School Key Club Shines at 2025 New England and Bermuda District Educational Conference
April 4–6, 2025 — Fourteen members of the Kennett High School Key Club joined nearly 300 students from across the region at the New England and Bermuda District of Key Club’s Educational Conference, held this past weekend. The annual event featured leadership workshops, a Service Fair, guest speakers, and recognition ceremonies—all designed to inspire and empower student leaders through service.
This year, the KHS Key Club once again demonstrated its commitment to community, leadership, and service—earning a remarkable list of accolades:
District and International Recognition

Top Fundraiser in New England:
Out of more than 150 clubs, KHS Key Club led the region in fundraising, contributing an incredible $17,500 to district charities—over 50% of the total funds raised by all attending clubs. -
Highest Per-Member Fundraising:
KHS was also recognized for raising the highest amount per member for district-supported causes. -
Distinguished Club Award – Key Club International:
A prestigious honor recognizing clubs with outstanding achievements in service, member engagement, and fundraising. -
New England District Annual Achievement Award:
Celebrating excellence across all areas of club operations.
First-Place Project Awards

Major Emphasis Project – “Ski for Sunshine”
Over four years, this project has raised more than $62,000 for Camp Sunshine, a retreat for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families. This project will now be honored at the Key Club International Convention in Orlando, Florida this summer. -
Single Service Project – “Raiders and Eagles for the Valley (REV)”
Supporting students and families in need at Kennett High School and Fryeburg Academy, this impactful project also earned international recognition and will be celebrated at the upcoming convention in Orlando.

He delivered a powerful speech at the conference on his personal growth through Key Club and its future potential. -
Recruiting Poster Contest – First Place: Zoe Groves
Her winning design will soon be proudly displayed at Kennett High School. -
Talent Show Winners: John and Joseph DellaValla
The duo delighted the audience with a high-energy banjo and fiddle bluegrass performance. -
Early Bird Award:
Given for the timely and accurate payment of dues, recognizing the club’s organizational excellence.
Sharing Knowledge and Community Spirit
At the conference, KHS Key Club also presented a well-received workshop on strengthening service and fundraising efforts through partnerships with local businesses and organizations. Their exhibit displays at the Service Fair showcased a wide range of their ongoing initiatives.
